[open] art therapy, take two.
WHO: Nouvelle-France and everyone
WHAT: art therapy, this time voluntary.with a side of extra post in case anyone needs anything for AC.
WHERE: in the Arts & Crafts Room
WHEN: sunday evening.
WARNING(S):adorableness.
Canada had taken to spending many days in the craft room, working on miniature sculptures and trying to work his way through French writing, based on what he remembered from before he came here. It was difficult, but it kept his mind focused on something, while Kumajirou relaxed under the table or near the door, protecting him from unwanted intrusions.
Today, he's humming to himself as he uses glue to create patterns on paper, then cover it with glitter, so that is sticks only how he wants it. It's terribly amusing, which of course means that there is glitter everywhere. It's like Christmas decorations all over again, really.
Come and join the small, sparkly colony and his polar bear?

Or at least, it did when nobody else was around. Just as Kanaya was about to take her work out of the closet where she had it hidden, she heard childish giggling and finally noticed the colony on the other side of the room. Oh, well, she wasn't alone anymore. Quickly she stepped away from the closet door and over to Canada. "Hey." She had to just act cool and, innocent little object of protection he was, he shouldn't expect she had been hiding anything. Speaking of anything... what was that piece of paper on his table? She leaned down slightly to stare at it. "Hey, is that one of your other human languages?"

At her question, he nodded enthusiastically. "It's French, the one Papa's people use the most."

"I'm assuming that other light-haired human who's showed up is Papa. But it kind of surprises me that a spirit can have parents." She blinked once. The exact description of Mathieu's connection to his land and people was still fuzzy. She hadn't really connected it with the idea of Earth's countries, which, sadly to her, seemed like a slightly uncivilized institution.

"He's not really my Papa, the way that humans have parents," he explained, hoping that helped some, even if it probably didn't. "But he found me and now he's taking care of me, and our people are friends, so he said I could call him Papa and... I like having a family."
